Application & care
You don’t need any skill for this — just a clean nail and twenty seconds of pressing. Here’s the whole thing, start to finish.
Lay the set out and hold each nail against the matching finger. You want the press-on to sit just inside your side walls — never overlapping the skin. If you're between two, go one size smaller. Not sure yet? Send me a photo of your nails next to a coin and I'll size you.
Push your cuticles back gently, buff the shine off the surface, then wipe each nail with the alcohol pad in your set. Dry, clean, matte nails are what makes glue hold.
Use a small drop of glue for a long wear, or an adhesive tab if you only need them for the evening. Press from the cuticle down to the tip and hold for a full 20 seconds — count it out.
Keep your hands out of water for one hour. No washing up, no shower, no swimming. This one hour is the difference between one day and two weeks of wear.
Soak your fingertips in warm soapy water for 10–15 minutes, then wiggle each nail off slowly from the sides. Never rip them off — that takes a layer of your natural nail with it.
Peel the old glue off the back, wipe them clean, and press them back onto the gingham card. Stored properly, a set will happily go again and again.
One to two weeks with glue, and one to three days with adhesive tabs. Tabs are gentler and reusable; glue is what you want for a wedding or a holiday.
Yes — that's the whole point. Remove them the soaking way, clean the glue off the back, and store them on the card. Most people get several wears out of a set.
Not if you take them off properly. Damage comes from pulling them off dry. Soak, wiggle, be patient — your nails will be completely fine underneath.
After the first hour, yes. Long hot soaks and swimming will loosen the glue faster, so keep a little glue handy for touch-ups if you're on holiday.
Message me on WhatsApp with a photo of your hands and I'll help you work out your sizes. If a set genuinely doesn't fit, I'll remake the sizes you need.
